I FAMILY MATH OLYMPIAD

On May 6, the I Family Math Olympiad took place at Adyghe State University. 75 families formed teams to participate in this event. The organizers of the Olympiad were Regional School of Science and Mathematics and Caucasus Mathematical Center at Adyghe State University.

Family Math Olympiad is a team competition in solving unusual math problems. The participants could choose the level of difficulty and solve the problems in either “Oshten” league or “Rufabgo” league. Some families chose to solve problems in both leagues. At each level of difficulty, the teams were to solve 8 problems in 60 minutes and write the answers in a special form. Each correctly solved problem brought one point to the team.
The absolute winner in the “Oshten” league was the Vecherkovsky family. Among the teams who won the first place, there were “The Siukhovs,” “Jacque Andre,” and “The Chumakovs.” Among the teams who won the second place, there were “Khoma and Gopher,” “Polina and Co,” “Jupiter,” and “Khans.” Among the teams who won the third place, there were “Loboda,” “Susukailo Family,” “Captain Cotangent,” “Projectorium,” “Tlekhurai,” and “Vlasovs Family.”

In the “Rufabgo” league, the teams “Yegorovs Family” and “Musautovs Family” won the first place. Among the teams who won the second place, there were “For Peace,” “Sitnikovs Family,” “Polyakovs Family,” and “Nikolaenkovs Family.” Among the teams who won the third place, there were “Surprise,” “Dancing Cyborg,” “Flowers,” and “Ledentsovs Family.”
