The fourteenth All-Russian camp “Young Mathematician” at the Russian Children Center “Orlyonok” has officially started!
At the opening ceremony, Daud Mamiy (leader of the camp, dean of the faculty of mathematics and computer science at Adyghe State University, deputy head of the Caucasus Mathematical Center, director of the Regional School of Mathematics and Science) and Alexandra Perevoshikova (camp director) wished the campers to spend their time at the camp building wonderful memories. The camp program includes tournaments in mathematics, lectures on various topics, meetings with famous people from various areas of knowledge.
This year, the opening ceremony took place during the 11th tournament of mathematical games, two of which (“Domino” and “Duel”) have ended already. On September 11, the last game (“Penalty”) will take place and define who the winners of the tournament are. The teams and results are available here.
On September 12, the winners and awardees of the tournament will receive their prizes, and campers will start their week of classes with the leading Russian mathematicians.
During the camp, there will be lectures on various topics including mathematics and other sciences.
The camp will end with the 13th Southern Tournament in Mathematics which takes place here every year. It will include campers and other students who will come here just for the tournament.
