On September 21, the first scientific seminar of the semester organized by CMC took place at the Faculty of mathematics and computer science at Adyghe State University.

Doctor of Physics and Mathematics Ruslan Kulayev (North Ossetian State University named after KL Khetagurov, Vladikavkaz) and Doctor of Physics and Mathematics Aleksey Shabat (Landau Institute of Theoretical and Theoretical Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow) delivered a report titled “Conservation Laws in Discontinuity Problems”. During the seminar, the results of a qualitative analysis of the system of equations of the Volterra chain with initial conditions in the form of a step were discussed. For this, two special conservation laws were used which made it possible to establish the global solvability of the problem and to study approximately the phenomena simulating the formation of a shock wave.
