On October 15, the lectures of the Mathematical guestroom of the Caucasus Mathematical Center took place. This time, our guest was doctor of Physics and Mathematics, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Science, professor of the Moscow State University, chief editor of the journal “Quantum” Alexander Gaifullin. He is one of the youngest scientists of the Russian Academy of Science. He became a corresponding member at the age of 32 and defended his doctoral dissertation at the age of 26. A meeting with such a young but already inspiring mathematician should encourage our young generation. For this reason, we invited school and university students of the Republic of Adygea and Krasnodar regions.
At 9:30 am, the guests got together in the concert hall of Adyghe State University to listen to the lecture “Flexible Polyhedra.”
At 1:30 pm, the guests gathered at the conference hall for an informal meeting with A.Gaifullin where he discussed math, science, and new perspectives. Any person could ask him a question.
Apart from the meetings in the Mathematical guestroom, A.Gailfullin gave lectures and seminars for students of the Regional School of Math and Natural Sciences and students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of Adyghe State University.
