On January 24-25, Caucasus Mathematical Center at ASU gave two presentations for high schoolers from Ust-Labinsk and Kropotkin (Krasnodar region). About 400 school students learned about the programs offered by the Center, Adyghe State University, and Regional School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Students attended the lectures by a famous promoter of mathematics, author of the book “Mathematics for Humanities People,” research advisor of the Center Alexey Savvateev, head of the laboratory of popularization and propaganda of mathematics of the Steklov Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, author of the project “Math Etudes” Nikolay Andreev, and instructors of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Sciences of ASU Oksana Malkhozheva and Yuri Karpenko.
To promote science and learning, the Center presented math books to the libraries of School #2 of Ust-Labinsk and School #3 of Kropotkin.
During the visits, CMC and schools signed collaboration agreements.
