“Polyaris-Adygea”: Board of Trustees first meeting went according to “Sirius” pattern

Board of Trustees of the “Polyaris-Adygea” SSGC SAS Regional Centre had their first meeting today, July 16th during which Presidium and Expert Council members were appointed and development strategy for the next two years (2019-2021) approved and adopted.

“Polyaris-Adygea” Board of Trustees: Elena Shmeleva, Head of the “Talent and Success”; Ivan Yashschenko, mathematician; Zurab Tsereteli, artist; Andrey Raygorodskii, mathematician; Sergei Alifirenko, Olympic champion (high velocity handgun marksmanship), Alexander Gaifullin, mathematician; Murat Kumpilov, head of the Adyg Republic and the Board of Trustees Chairman.

The Agreement, which was “Polyaris-Adygea” Regional Centre starting point was signed by Murat Kumpilov and Elena Shmeleva in November of the previous year. This centre is a structural unit of the Republican Scientific and Mathematical School. As part of its workflow management, the centre can make use of the following facilities: RI of Comprehensive Problems (ASU), MSTU lab facilities, the Republican Scientific and Mathematical School, “Vladimir Nevzorov” sports centre, RS Philharmonic Hall, ASU “Yakub Koblev” sports arena, and small-arms system “SPAR-Maykop”.

There would also be 18 new laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment and software. This project will initiate and oversee full-time science clubs, Olympiad prep courses and training camps, mind sports and theme sessions in direct cooperation with MIPT, Steklov Mathematical Institute RAS, Special Astrophysical Observatory of the RAS.

First educational sections labeled “Sport”, “Science” and “Culture” launched at the education and recreation facility of Adyghe State University called “Mountain Legend” in June. Throughout the summer they will host 360 gifted Adyg students.

According to the instruction of the President to all CEOs of executive agencies in every constituent unit of the country, such Regional Centres are to be established under the aegis of the “Talent and Success” Educational fund in each of the 85 federational constituents. There are 50 such agreements in action at the moment. The Fund fulfils all necessary organizational, educational and informational guidance, assists in monitoring, expert investigations and centres’ co-ordination.
