Entries submission for the November educational program “Informatics. Regions” is officially on

All students (grades 7-9) can participate in the competitive selection process for the “Informatics. Regions” based on the resources of “Sirius” Educational Center. The program itself will take place this November. Students within the required age range from any and all educational establishments throughout the country are welcome to apply.

All he registered students will take part in the long-distance competitive educational course which constitutes the first stage of the selective process. It will take place from May 8 till August 31, 2020.  

The studies are to start no later than May 26, 2020. (First learning module applications will be completed May 31). The participants’ list for the second stage will be comprised on the basis of this educational course results.

The final face-to-face qualifying round will admit the following students (subject to Regulation points 3.11 and their results notwithstanding):
— those who scored no less than 440 points in the regional stage of the All-Russian Schoolchildren Olympiad in 2020;
— 8th graders (2019-2020 school year), who completed the “Informatics. Regions” program the previous year;
— 8th and 9th graders  (2019-2020 school year), who completed the “Informatics. Juniors” course either ibn 2018 or in 2019.

The list of the second –level course participants will be posted on the “Sirius” Educational Center official website September 7, 2020.

Face-to-face qualification round will take place in each region September 19, 2020.

The selection process for the educational course is based on individual ratings of each student during the qualification round.

The following students cannot take part in the program:
— participants of the March Informatics educational course (2019 and 2020 study year) and the “Informatics. Juniors” educational program in 2020;
— “Informatics. Regions” educational course participants (November 2019) who are presently ninth year students at school;
— those who scored more than 542 points and thus entered the final stage of the All-Russian Informatics Olympiad for Schoolchildren in 2020.

The educational program participants list will be available for viewing no later than September 24, 2020.
