Nikolay Andreev, an employee of the Caucasian Mathematical Center at Adyghe State University (ASU), has been honored with the title of Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Republic of Adygea.
By decree of Murat Kumpilov, the Head of Adygea, this prestigious title has been conferred upon Nikolay Andreev, who holds a candidate degree in physical and mathematical sciences. He is recognized as a popularizer of mathematics and is a key member of the Caucasian Mathematical Center at ASU.
In addition to his role at ASU, Andreev serves as the head of the laboratory for the popularization and propagation of mathematics at the Steklov Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He was also a laureate of the Russian Presidential Prize in Science and Innovation for Young Scientists in 2010 and is currently a senior research fellow at the Department of Mathematical Research and University Educational Programs at the Caucasian Scientific and Educational Mathematical Center of Adyghe State University.
Over the past decade, Nikolay Andreev has created a collection of multimedia mathematical sketches, producing dozens of short films and miniatures that demonstrate that mathematics is both fascinating and accessible to all. He has been actively involved in the development and implementation of educational, scientific, and popular science projects at Adyghe State University, aiming to spark interest in mathematics among the youth. For his significant contributions to scientific and pedagogical activities, as well as for training qualified specialists, he has been awarded this honorary title.
