Registration for the “From A to Z” Family Mathematical Olympiad, a nationwide competition organized by Adyghe State University, has opened. The Olympiad will be held remotely from November 20 to 30, 2025, on the All Cups technology platform from VK. The initiative coincides with Mathematician’s Day in Russia, celebrated on December 1.
The The “From A to Z” Family Mathematical Olympiad for the Whole Country is a remote team-based mathematics competition organized by Adyghe State University as part of the “Science Around. Discoveries Continue” project with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education as part of the Decade of Science and Technology.
The project’s goal is to popularize mathematics education and improve the general mathematical culture of schoolchildren and their parents, stimulate interest in the subject, and develop cognitive activity.
Teams from across the country are welcome to participate in the competition. Each team must include a school-age child and one adult family member. The remaining participants can be of any age. The maximum number of team members is five.
The Olympiad will be held on the All Cups technology platform from VK. Teams must register by November 22nd using this link . The qualifying round will take place on November 23rd. The round’s problems are divided into three thematic tracks, each requiring participants to solve four problems of varying difficulty. Teams with the highest total points in the shortest time will be invited to participate in the finals.
The Olympiad finals will take place on November 30th, with teams solving problems live. The team with the highest score at the end of the final round will win. In the event of a tie, all teams with the highest scores will be declared winners.
The finals will be hosted by renowned mathematics popularizers Daud Mamiy, Rector of ASU, and Alexey Savvateev, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Professor at ASU. The broadcast will be available on the VK Video platform in the “Science Around” project community.
All teams participating in the Olympiad will receive an electronic Olympiad participant certificate.
