I Competition of Math Teachers of the South of Russia took place in Maykop on October 20-21. The organizers of the competition were Caucasus Mathematical Center at Adyghe State University, Interregional public organization “Association of Math Teachers,” Moscow Center for Uninterrupted Math Education, Center for Pedagogical Art and Regional School of Natural Sciences and Math.

The competition consisted of two blocks: methodology and Olympiad. In the methodology part, the participants had to find mistakes in the “solved” problems. In the Olympiad part, the participants had to solve the problems themselves. Participants were given four hours to finish the tasks of both blocks.

Teachers of mathematics of institutions of basic and after school education from the Southern and North Caucasus Federal Districts could participate in this competition. The participation was voluntary, free, and anonymous.
